Salary: £95.00 to £105.00 per day (experience dependant)
About the Role:
Are you passionate about supporting children in their learning and development? We are seeking a dedicated Classroom-Based Teaching Assistant to work across Primary school settings, supporting pupils and teachers to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are enthusiastic, nurturing, and committed to helping children reach their full potential—whether you’re supporting whole‑class learning, small intervention groups, or individual pupils.
- Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and age‑appropriate lessons
- Working with small groups or 1:1 to reinforce learning and support progress
- Assisting pupils with varying learning needs, including SEND where required
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Supporting children with personal care where necessary
- Supervising pupils during activities, break times, and transitions
- Experience working with children in a Primary school or educational setting (desirable but not essential)
- A caring, patient, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are advantageous but not required
