Provides and documents direct patient care for patients under the direct supervision of a wound care clinician or provider. While the general age of the patient is adult through geriatric, there may occasionally be infants through pediatric patients. The care will include a safe, comfortable and confidential environment.
QualificationsEducation
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and For the minimum education, certification, licensure or degree in a medical field, preference is given to the following areas:
Patient Care Tech, Athletic Training, Certified Nursing Assistant, Paramedic, Emergency Medical Technician, or Medical Assistant
Work Experience
- 1 year of patient care experience Preferred
- 2 years direct care with patients including wound dressing and assisting with minor surgical procedures Preferred
- Ability to perform diagnostic testing and checklist completion Preferred
- Experience with Doppler use Preferred
- Experience in billing and use of databases Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- BCLS - Basic Life Support BLS certification through AHA Upon Hire Required
