Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist experienced with Siemens and Philips scanners to perform CT scans on a diverse patient population across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities- Work in a Level 3 trauma hospital environment with four CT scan rooms
- Serve neonate through geriatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Perform CT scans for IP, ER, and OP patients following established protocols
- Average caseload is 12–24 cases per day
- Schedule is four 10-hour day shifts (Monday–Thursday, 12:00–22:00)
- Every other weekend required and call is scheduled for 8 days total, with at least 2 weeks notice
- Routine floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
- Utilizes Siemens and Philips CT scanners, Epic EMR, and Fuji PACS
- Expected to assist with trauma and stroke alerts as part of regular responsibilities
- Maintain a collaborative and positive work environment with technologists, nurses, doctors, and transporters
- Scrub color is gray
- No blocked scheduling permitted
- No holiday time off requests are accepted except as detailed by facility policy
- Perm/PRN staff must be away from all facilities for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Candidates must be available to submit documents and schedule labs within 48 hours of contract signing
- Modules are completed during orientation and are non-billable
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Minimum of 3 years CT technologist experience required
- Current BLS, ARRT, and ARRT (R)(CT) certifications required
- Must hold a GA or compact license at time of consideration; license required if applicable
- Experience starting IVs, obtaining consent, and delivering care across a wide age spectrum
- Ability to provide two supervisory references preferred (manager or above, charge not accepted)
