This full‑time position is located 100% onsite at a hospital in Stockbridge, GA, with a Monday—Friday schedule from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Base pay: $18.00 /hr – $23.00 /hr. Actual pay will be based on skills and experience; talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Job SummaryThe purpose of this position is to connect uninsured hospital patients to programs that will cover their medical expenses. As a Patient Advocate, you will evaluate eligibility for federal, state, county programs and assist patients face‑to‑face through the application process. The goal is to screen 98 % of patients at bedside.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside to determine viability for assistance programs.
- Complete applications and manage approval process.
- Maintain accurate documentation in Elevate PFS and hospital systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
- Maintain assigned work queue of patient accounts.
- Collaborate with hospital staff, case managers, social workers, financial counselors.
- Answer incoming calls, make outbound calls, and track paperwork for enrollment and renewal.
- Maintain structured and timely contact with applicants and government agencies.
- Assist applicants with gathering reports, arranging appointments, and transportation as needed.
- Conduct in‑person community visits as needed to acquire documentation.
- Inform clients of approvals and denials in a timely manner.
- Attend required training to stay informed about rules and regulations.
- Maintain regular and timely attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Some college coursework preferred.
- Prior hospital experience preferred.
- Adaptability to changing processes, systems, and programs.
- Professional experience with state and federal programs.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Ability to maneuver throughout the hospital during shift.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook).
- Effective oral and written communication with diverse individuals.
- Ability to multitask and meet performance metrics in a fast‑paced environment.
