HCR Permanent Search is currently working with a leading edge technology company who needs to hire an Embedded Firmware Engineer to work on Bluetooth applications. The role will require the person to have significant experience in Bluetooth firmware for embedded IoT devices, optimizing performance, and ensuring robust connectivity in resource-constrained environments.

Please note that this is a corporation to corporation contact and you must reside within the United States or Canada for compliance reasons.

Work Setting: Remote

• Design, develop, and maintain firmware for embedded IoT devices.
• Implement and optimize code for low-power and low-memory systems.
• Perform power profiling and apply techniques to minimize energy consumption.
• Debug and test firmware using JTAG and other embedded development tools.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Document firmware architecture, design decisions, and testing procedures.

• Strong proficiency in C and Python programming.
• Proven experience in embedded IoT device firmware development.
• Expertise in developing firmware for low-power / low-memory devices.
• Hands‑on experience with JTAG and similar debugging tools.
• Ability to perform power profiling and optimize code for energy efficiency.
  
  Solid understanding of Bluetooth concepts and protocols.
