Our software streamlines First Article Inspection (FAI) reporting, ensures compliance with AS9102 standards, and reduces the risk of errors and delays. By integrating powerful data processing capabilities with an intuitive user interface, we help manufacturers optimize their quality management processes.

This position is intended to be on‑site working with local and remote counter parts. However for the right candidate we will consider remote or hybrid work.

Role
As the early hire at Ground Control, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the product and engineering culture for the future of the company. You will work directly with the founding team across engineering, product, and customer success. You will:

Own the software solutions that are deployed to customers

Contribute to our Next.js Application and Python/Golang severless functions to improve reliability and progress the product roadmap

Triage issues, root cause failures, and coordinate next‑steps

Interface directly with end‑users to turn needs into features while balancing user experience with engineering constraints

Who You Are
Core Requirements

Strong software engineering background (5+ years) from industry

At least 5 years working with Java script/Typescript, React in production systems

Experience building scalable and responsive web‑based user interfaces

Ability to empathize with end‑users, to turn needs into features, and to balance user experience with engineering constraints to deliver full solutions

Candidatos must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada and meet all other requirements under Controlled Goods Program (CGP)

Desired Requirements

Experience working with Python and/or Golang

Experience working with LLMs

Experience working with AWS, in particular Gov Cloud

Significant experience with writing test suites for React applications (Jest, Playwright)

Deep relational database knowledge (Postgres specifically)

Experience working on enterprise software and the features required by that customer segment
