• Ensure safe work processes and emergency procedures are followed, including safe lifting techniques, area cleanliness, evacuations, and theft prevention.
• Handle customer and associate concerns and provide guidance as required.
• Monitor all front‑end associates to ensure proper coverage, coordinate breaks, and provide assistance to outlying registers.
• Provide training to associates on systems and company procedures, such as scanning accuracy, productivity, company programs, discounts, and the EAS system.
• Oversee purchase, return, and exchange transactions and assist with error corrections, providing approvals and verifying processes to meet company guidelines.
• Ensure all EAS systems are functioning to standard, e.g., cashiers deactivation, greeters handling issues appropriately, and completing “Failure to Deactivate” logs.
• Prepare registers for opening and closing daily and support cashiers by providing change as needed while maintaining front‑end cash levels. Support the process by completing audits on register accuracy.
• Oversee and promote all company sponsor programs and initiatives, such as credit card service, Walmart protection plan, charity initiatives, and discount programs.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $16.95. Salary will be determined based on relevant experience.
