Location: St. John'sDexter Construction Company is a large, diversified Construction Company engaged in all major aspects of the heavy civil construction industry within the Atlantic Provinces. We are currently looking for Curb Machine Operator to join our operations out of St. John’s, NFLD for the 2026 season. These positions will be based out of St.John’s, but may involve travel to other parts of the province as the need arises
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate a Curb MachineSet and check gradesRead blueprints and specificationsPerforms daily inspection and maintenance and ensures that the machine is in safe proper working orderEnsure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the taskEnsure safety of fellow employeesPerform other duties as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and
Experience:
5+ years’ operating a Curb MachineConcrete form work and finishing experience an assetMust be well versed in construction site protocols, rules and code of conductAbility to perform a variety of manual tasks requiring the use of independent judgment and actionAbility to follow a firm work schedule as directed by supervisorWillingness to work in a team environmentAbility to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible mannerComply with all safety policies and proceduresAbility to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that projects are completed properlyWorking safely is a condition of employment.Dexter Construction offers a competitive compensation and benefit package and is an equal opportunity employer.
