Risk Data Consultant

Our client, a Top 5 Bank in Canada, is looking to hire a Business Analyst to their Operational Risk Management team for an initial 6-month contract. This is a hybrid position based in downtown Toronto, with 2 days per week in office.

• Develop metrics (KPIs and KRIs) for reporting and write reporting requirements for technical teams to build out reports.
• Partner with business process SMEs to document existing processes and ensure accurate and comprehensive process tracking.
• Gather business requirements and translate them for developers and technical stakeholders.
• Serve as a liaison between business teams and technology groups to deliver technical solutions.
• Prepare cost-benefit analyses and ROI assessments to support system implementation decisions.
• Maintain action logs and track delivery timelines across multiple ongoing projects.
• Provide regular project status updates and elevate issues to program managers and senior leadership as needed.

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Data Consultant or Business Analyst working with operational risk data.
• Demonstrated experience in developing metrics (KPIs & KRIs).
• Experience in reporting solution design and partnering with technical teams to execute delivery.
• Strong understanding of operational resilience and data governance principles.

• Knowledge of Operational Risk Management (ORM).
• Familiarity with OSFI regulatory frameworks.
• Understanding of third‑party risk

  , or incident reporting processes.
• Background in banking or financial institutions
  .
• CBAP certification.
• Experience using Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
