Finance Manager

Our client is a Canadian technology company providing insurance solutions. They are looking for a Finance Manager to join their team!

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with the accounting standards and internal policies.
• Complete the month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all reconciliations, adjustments, and accruals.
• Oversee the daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, staff payroll, fixed assets, and general ledger.
• Influence operational improvements through system enhancements and software and workflow efficiencies.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities, and ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning.
• Monitor and maintain the effectiveness and efficiency of the accounting systems, controls, and procedures, and suggest improvements.
• Analyze and interpret financial data and trends and provide insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Support the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts and assist with variance analysis and reporting.
• Research and update the accounting policies and standards in accordance with changes in regulations and best practices.
• Perform ad hoc financial projects and tasks as assigned by the CFO or senior management.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
• CPA or equivalent designation is preferred
• 4 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting

$95,000 - $105,000/year
