Cahill Technical Services are looking for an Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EI&C) Engineer/Technologist to join our growing team.
This position is responsible for translating project and client requirements into safe, compliant, and reliable control system designs, supporting project execution, and contributing to successful commissioning and ongoing system performance.
What You’ll Do:
Design, commission and service electrical, instrumentation and control systems.Develop and implement control narratives and algorithms.Plan and execute electrical, instrumentation & control projects based on technical and performance specifications.Develop technical specifications, oversee the preparation of CAD drawings.Follow company procedures in accordance with the company’s ISO Quality registration.Develop cost proposals to execute work based on client specifications.Advise other technical staff on the relevant design standards and codes relevant to project criteria.Write technical reports summarizing technical investigations, project activities etc.What will you bring?
Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial controls design and implementation.An engineering degree (or technical diploma with relevant experience) from a recognized institution and eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geologists of Newfoundland & Labrador (PEGNL).Experience with PLC/HMI/SCADA and DCS control systems.Current knowledge of the relevant design codes and regulations e.g. CSA 22.1.Proven experience in developing automation control logic.Project and Field experience including supervising other technical and support personnel.Experience developing project cost estimates.Proficiency in the MS Office suite of software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.About Us:
