Truss Designer

Location: Mount Pearl

Jump Recruitment, on behalf of our client, Terra Nova Trusses, is currently seeking Truss, Wall & Floor Designer to join their growing team in Mount Pearl, NL.

Position Summary:
The Truss, Wall & Floor Designer plays a key role in supporting residential and commercial construction projects by working directly with customers and creating accurate structural designs. The team brings a wealth of in-house experience, 50 years and providing a strong support network and mentorship opportunities for incoming employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interact with customers in the residential and commercial construction industry

• Review house, garage, and commercial plans and blueprints

• Design 3D structural components using in-house MiTek design software

• Operate and maintain project information within MiTek Management (ERP system)

• Prepare quotes and collaborate with customers on final construction designs

Qualifications:

• Construction Technologist background or equivalent experience with Estimating & Design, AutoCAD design experience, and/or Red Seal Carpenters with truss, wall and/or floor design experience.

• Experience with Truss, Walls & Floors design and related capabilities is required.

• AI Capabilities experiences, or willingness to learn.

• Experience with MiTek software, or equivalent structural design software experiences, and/or willingness to learn.

• Attention to detail and detail-oriented work ethics are an asset.

• Customer-service oriented.

Job Details:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00am- 5:00pm shift.

• 3 weeks annual leave.
