Join Litens Purchasing team as a Global Director. The Global Director has overall responsibility for the global purchasing function –
both production and advanced. The director is to support the senior manager of global production purchasing and approve new vendor sourcing (where required) and the global
supplier strategic plan. Through the advanced purchasing function, ensure Litens’ new product development is supported with optimal component fabrication processes and
supplier selection.

What will you do?
- Lead the development of purchasing systems, policies and processes and ensure global consistency in their application
- Lead the development and implementation of global purchasing strategies towards achieving the overall objectives set out by Senior Management
- Lead the support function for the global supplier strategic plan.
- Support the global Purchasing team in the negotiation process
- Lead the annual Global Cost reduction initiative
- Ensure suppliers meet the ongoing requirements for cost and production capacity
- Lead the Advanced Purchasing function in collaboration with Product Engineering to determine the most cost-effective component fabrication processes and supplier selection for our new product opportunities.
What will you bring?
- Minimum 3-year Diploma or equivalent is required. Mechanical Engineering background is an asset
- Demonstrated skills in supporting overall business strategy for products or processes
- Maintain a valid passport without any global travel restrictions
- SCM designation is an asset
- 10 years purchasing experience after graduation in the automotive manufacturing industry or similar
- Must have minimum 5 years purchasing experience in the automotive industry
- Proven track record of cost reduction success with engineered components
