NSB Omega is searching for a Project Engineer - Mechanical, for our MAJOR Utilities Client in St. John's, NL.

Assignment Description

· Providetechnicalsupporttothe Project Manageronvarious  projects;

· Reviewtenderpackagespreparedbyotherconsultantsand contractors;

· Reviewshopdrawingspreparedbycontractorsand vendors;

· Preparetenderpackagesfor contracts;

· Preparerequestsforproposals (RFPs);

· Providetechnicalinputasadesignteammemberforprojectsandothertechnical documentation;

· Directandsuperviseconsultantsandcontractorsduringthecompletionofspecific engagements;

· Reviewandapprovereportspreparedby consultants;

· Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) as required;

· Conductregularsitevisitstomonitorconstructionactivities,verifyprojectprogress,and provide support to site teams;

· Facilitateeffectivecommunicationacross stakeholders;

· Reviewandapprovetechnicaldocumentation,including commissioning;

· Assistwithprojectcloseoutactivities,ensuringsmoothtransitionofcompletedassetsto operations;

· Promotecontinualimprovementthroughlessonslearned,innovativeapproaches,and sharing best practices with other project teams;

· Submittimesheetsanddocumentationinaccordancewith the Client's project management requirements;

· Otherdutiesas assigned.

Qualifications Required

· Mechanical Engineering Degree ,registeredwiththe

Professional

Engineersand Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL) association;

· 8yearsormoreexperienceinconstruction projects;

· Fieldexperience,particularlyrelatingtohydro-electricfacilitiesortheelectricalindustry in general is considered desirable;

· Excellentcomputerskillsincludingaworkingknowledgeof Microsoft Office;

· Abilitytoadapttodynamicworkenvironmentsandchangingproject demands.
