Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a new challenge? Anderson Knight is delighted to partner with a dynamic and growing business based in Falkirk to find their next Purchase Ledger Supervisor.
As a Purchase Ledger Supervisor, you'll play a key role in leading and developing a small finance team, overseeing day‑to‑day operations in a fast‑paced environment. While previous experience within Purchase Ledger is ideal, we are open to candidates who have supervisory experience within any finance function. What matters most is your leadership skills and a solid understanding of finance operations.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and mentor a team of finance staff, ensuring efficient processing of purchase ledger transactions.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, credit notes, and payments.
- Oversee the reconciliation of supplier accounts and resolution of discrepancies.
- Assist with month‑end and year‑end processes, including the preparation of reports and reconciliations.
- Manage team performance, including conducting appraisals and providing training when needed.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any purchase ledger‑related queries or issues.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Previous supervisory experience in a finance team is essential (does not need to be within purchase ledger).
- Strong understanding of purchase ledger processes and financial operations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a focus on team development.
- High attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Sage, or similar systems) is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Competitive salary of £31,500 - £34,000.
