Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a General Ultrasound Tech for independent 12-hour weekend shifts with broad ultrasound competencies required.
Responsibilities- Position is for a general ultrasound technologist in a hospital setting
- Work independently during Fri-Sun, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM shifts, with Saturday on-call 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM
- Role involves performing a variety of ultrasound examinations including OB, general, echo, abdominal, small parts, and vascular studies
- Charting is done with Meditech and prior experience is strongly preferred
- Technologist will be working alone and must be confident performing all required studies without direct supervision
- Orientation includes non-billable modules averaging 8 hours, completed during onboarding
- Travel pairs are accepted
- Holiday time off is not approved for this position
- Must include all requested time off with application submission
- State license required if applicable
- Relevant ultrasound certification required
- Ability to independently perform OB, general, echo, abdominal, small parts, and vascular ultrasound procedures
- Experience with Meditech EMR strongly preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of driver’s license and Social Security card required for consideration
