This is a Senior Social Worker position in the Adolescent Services Unit. This role carries a partial caseload while also fulfilling key senior social worker responsibilities, including training and supporting new staff, providing consultation to team members, assisting with complex and high-needs cases, and participating in additional meetings and unit-level work.
The adolescent specific child protection/child welfare caseload often includes youth experiencing truancy, running away, placement instability, chemical use, parent–child conflict, and mental health concerns. The position may also involve working with minor parents and transition‑aged youth (ages 18–21) who are preparing to age out of foster care.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys balancing direct practice with leadership, is comfortable navigating complex adolescent dynamics, and is energized by supporting both youth and fellow social workers. This position is well suited for a social worker who values collaboration, mentorship, and meaningful work with teens and young adults during critical stages of development.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE- Five years providing Child Welfare/Child Protection Social work in a county setting
- Paid work experience with and providing services to individuals from a variety of cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Paid work experience as a social worker with adolescents and families
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with team building, supporting, and training staff

HOURS/DAYS8:00 a.m.
-4:30 p.m., Monday‑Friday. Work schedules (hours and days) and location are subject to change based on department needs.
$77,188.80 – $ Annually

This position requires a Bachelors Degree in Social Work or related field and four years of full‑time work experience as a Social Worker in a public human services agency and/or a private human services agency that contracts services with a public human services agency. A Master's Degree in Social Work or related field may substitute for up to one year of required Social Worker experience.
Required Social Work experience must have occurred after receipt of Bachelor's Degree.
