Detail Crew Technician

Overview / Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to manage the horticultural details within townhomes by trimming shrubs, deadheading perennials, and applying herbicide and pesticide with a backpack sprayer. While Horticulture Services welcomes relevant experience, extensive knowledge and background are not required for this position. Therefore, there will be appropriate training and mentoring upon hire. Importantly, this position is guaranteed 20 hours of pay per week until April 1st (Spring) when 40+ hours per week begin.

Pay starts at $20.00; a higher rate of pay may be available if you have relevant experience. A $1/hr. increase after 90 days and a positive review.

We work Monday-Friday starting at 7:30 am (the length of the day varies based on the weather & job). Spring, Summer, and Fall: the typical workweek is 40+ hours with overtime pay available. Winter: guaranteed 20 hours of pay per week until Spring work begins. There is potential for weekend/holiday work when poor weather affects operations. No experience is necessary; you just need to be willing to learn.

• Light shrub trimming.
• Deadheading perennials.
• Pulling some weeds by hand.
• Applying herbicides & pesticides with a backpack sprayer.
• Perform landscape maintenance duties with other crews in spring and fall.
• Maintain the company’s professional image while performing job duties.

• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to actively work on feet for the entire day.
• Anyone interested in driving for us must have a valid driver’s license as well as a willingness to complete driver qualification (Pass a DOT physical with a clean drug test).
