Economic Program Trainer

Job Overview

The Economic Support Program Trainer serves as a policy expert to ensure compliance with county, state, and federal program guidelines and assists in meeting departmental goals and outcomes in multiple public assistance programs.

• Knowledge of adults' specific public assistance programs including SNAP, GA, MSA, GRH, MA including MA with waivers and MA-LTC.
• Ability to work with a diverse population.
• Demonstrates knowledge of various training techniques and styles.
• Demonstrates an ability to train and develop staff, and assess their competence to learn and apply policy and procedures to case work.

Your training and experience will be rated based on the required application material submitted and the top-scoring candidates will be forwarded to the hiring department for further consideration.

8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday–Friday. Location is negotiable and a hybrid option is available. Work schedules (hours and days) and location are subject to change based on department needs. Anticipated Hiring Rate: $31.06 – $42.36 Hourly

Washington County participates in the federal E-Verify program. • Four years of full-time work experience as an Eligibility Specialist, or equivalent.
• A Bachelor's degree may substitute for up to one year of required eligibility specialist experience.

• Train departmental staff on program rules and regulations.
• Design, coordinate and provide classroom and specialized training to staff.
• Document and report staff progress to supervisors.
• Analyze, research and interpret county, state and federal policy and law.
• Provide leadership, team development and case consultation to staff.
• Assign and schedule work; mentor and develop staff.
• Participate in the selection and hiring of staff.
• Review work of staff to ensure program compliance.
