This is a full-time, on-site Police Officer role located in Stevens Point, WI. The Police Officer will perform law enforcement duties to ensure the safety and security of the UW-Stevens Point community. Responsibilities include maintaining public safety through patrols, investigating criminal activity, collecting evidence, responding to emergency situations, and enforcing laws and regulations to protect students, staff, and campus property. Officers will engage with the campus community to promote a safe and inclusive environment.

• Required:
• Associates degree or higher
• Certification as a police officer in the State of Wisconsin upon appointment
• Knowledge of or the ability to learn the functions of campus law enforcement operations
• Effective oral and written communication
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license and the ability to meet physical fitness standards
• Preferred:
• Previous law enforcement experience
• Knowledge of federal and state laws, and UW System rules
• Knowledge of current investigatory techniques and procedures
