Pool Cashier

The Donald Copps Municipal Pool and Water slide Cashier is responsible for the daily cash receipts and cash register operations. The Cashier is responsible for balancing the cash drawer at the end of each shift. The Cashier must meet and serve the public cheerfully and professionally.

The Cashier reports to the Head Guard and Recreation Supervisors.

Mid-May to Late August

• The Cashier will be responsible for enforcing and carrying out department rules, policies and procedures concerning the Donald Copps Municipal Pool and Water slide.
• Receive & process transactions for admissions, private party rentals, season passes and concessions using a computer based point of sale system.
• Be responsible for cash register at all times and properly fill out daily cash forms.
• Refuse admittance to the pool when necessary.
• Monitor lobby and changing rooms.
• Answer the pool phone.
• Keep litter in the lobby and in the front of the building picked up.
• Familiarize yourself with the facility schedule, operational procedures, and policies so that you may answer questions from the general public or direct them to the Recreation Supervisor(s).
• Perform daily cleaning tasks.
• Work as top of water slide attendant if needed.
• Other tasks as required.

• Ability to work in cold, rain, snow, heat, sun and damp conditions.
• Ability to work days, evenings and weekends as required.
• Ability to read/write and follow verbal and written directions.
• Must be able to continuously walk or stand for 4-10 hours.
