Food Safety Manager

Okray Family Farms is a family-owned farming operation located in Central Wisconsin that cultivates a variety of crops, including potatoes, beans, and corn. The farm also distributes Western Sweet Spanish onions year-round, along with onion sets, plants, and seed potatoes during the spring. This is a full-time, on-site role for a Food Safety Manager based in Stevens Point, WI. The Food Safety Manager will oversee food safety standards, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and implement quality assurance programs. Responsibilities include conducting facility inspections, training staff on food safety practices, maintaining documentation, and proactively identifying areas for improvement to ensure the safe and efficient production of food products.

• Experience in Food Safety and Food & Beverage standards
• Proficiency in Quality Assurance and Quality Management practices
• Knowledge of food manufacturing processes and compliance regulations
• Strong communication, leadership skills, and ability to train staff
• Experience with government or industry food safety certifications (e.g., HACCP, GFSI) is a plus
• Attention to detail, decision-making skills, and problem-solving abilities
