Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues and implement repairs safely and efficiently
• Read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams for machinery and building systems
• Accurately prepare and maintain documentation via computer systems including but not limited to maintenance logs, daily activity, etc.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on machines
• Adheres to all mandated safety protocols, including OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, environmental regulations and internal company standards
• Operate a variety of shop tools and equipment, including drill presses, lathes, mills, saws and other tools
• Work overtime as needed

• Currently enrolled in of a Two-year degree program of Instrumentation Technology, Electromechanical Technology or related field or 3 years prior work experience in an electrical or mechanical field OR equivalent combination of both education and experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery
• Ability to lift 35 lbs. on a regular basis and lift up to 65 lbs. on occasional basis
• Frequent standing and walking with the ability bend/reach/climb and work in confined spaces as needed
• Competent in the operation and maintenance of hand and power tools
• Communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed

• Graduate of a degree program of Instrumentation Technology, Electromechanical Technology or related field
• Candidates should have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and possess strong communication skills
• Demonstrate strong working knowledge in troubleshooting/repair of 480
  
  VAC systems, Motors and Motor Control Circuits, Digital Electronics and PLC Programming (Allen Bradley), Pneumatics, Hydraulics and CNC controlled equipment
• Possess working knowledge of machine fabrication, installation and preventative maintenance systems
