Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital in Stevens Point, WI is seeking an EVS AIDE to join our ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES team!

The Environmental Services (EVS) Aide provides a clean and bacteriologically safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. In this role you will receive cleaning assignments, clean and sanitize assigned areas through performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors, preparing beds, cleaning bathrooms, and collecting recycling, garbage using approved methods, chemicals and equipment.

Hours: Supplemental or 0.2 FTE, 16 hours every 2 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sanitation duties in assigned areas to maintain a safe, hygienic environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Follow approved methods and use chemicals and equipment as directed.
• Assist with preparing patient beds and cleaning bathrooms as needed.
• Sort and dispose of recycling and waste in accordance with hospital policy.

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of housekeeping standards and practices normally acquired through a demonstrated ability to read, write, and remember/follow verbal or written instructions.
• Prefer but not required, high school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds maximum and frequently walk, stand, push/pull, reach and twist/turn.
• Previous experience in a housekeeping department is beneficial but not required.
