Dispatch Assistant & Driver

In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring products leave our site on time, correctly packed, and ready to impress our customers. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing outgoing goods with correct packaging according to daily dispatch notes.
• Making sure every item is sent using the appropriate dispatch method.
• Creating delivery notes and courier documentation using our Vantage system.
• Coordinating with shop floor teams to move products into dispatch throughout the day.
• Maintaining the finished goods stores, including organisation, tidiness, and annual stock checks.
• Delivering and collecting goods from customers and suppliers as needed, always representing the company professionally.
• Using company vehicles responsibly, completing mileage logs, and liaising with Accounts for petrol receipts and tolls.
• Following company environmental policies, and adhering to AS/EN 9100, ISO 9001, and Health & Safety standards.

• A good general level of education (GCSEs or equivalent).
• A full, clean UK driving licence suitable for company vehicles.
• Experience in dispatch, warehouse, logistics, or goods‑out environments.
• Confidence using computer systems to produce delivery notes/documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage daily dispatch workloads.
• A reliable, proactive approach and great communication with colleagues and suppliers.

• Experience working with courier companies and booking collections.
• Familiarity with ERP or stock systems (such as Vantage).
• Experience in manufacturing or shop‑floor environments.
• Ability to suggest improvements to dispatch processes.
