We’re looking for a charismatic mechanic that represents the RAC in every driveway visit. Your day will include service, diagnostics, repairs, checks, stock management, reporting, and customer communication.

• Operate on light vehicles ensuring quality maintenance and repairs.
• Provide advice to customers and represent the RAC’s mission.
• Manage stock, complete reporting and maintain customer conversations.
• Make decisions on the fly to solve customer issues.

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 3 years’ hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician with a range of light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than six points.

• A competitive base salary of £38,625, with on‑target earnings up to £50,000.
• Guaranteed overtime option increasing your base to £44,385 plus extra opportunities.
• Option to work extra rest days at £30 per hour, earning up to £5,000 more per year.

• 40 hours per week, core 8:30am‑5pm, 1 in 4 Saturdays.
• Own RAC van, fuel card, uniform, essential tools, diagnostic kit.
