Bank Maintenance Assistant

We are recruiting a Casual / Bank Maintenance Assistant who will work ad‑hoc shifts to provide cover for annual leave, sickness, training and other operational needs.

• Undertake day‑to‑day maintenance and planned remedial works to keep building, plant and services in working order.
• Carry out basic joinery, plumbing, painting and general building work.
• Ensure all equipment used is clean and well maintained.
• Comply with safe working practices and report faulty equipment and potential hazards.
• Check the fire alarm points weekly, including fire exits, door retaining devices and fire emergency lights.
• Test and record all portable appliances as specified in Group procedures.

• Experience in a similar role or recent experience in a self‑employed capacity.
• Skilled at DIY & general maintenance.
• Previous experience repairing a range of equipment and materials, painting, decorating, plumbing, carpentry and basic wiring work.
• A working knowledge of health and safety requirements and safe working practices.
• A valid full driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Able to communicate at all levels and record detailed, accurate maintenance information.
• Friendly, conscientious and an excellent team member with a positive attitude.
