Parts Advisor

We’re working with a respected agricultural and machinery business that’s looking to add an experienced Parts Advisor to its established team in the Stevenage area. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, takes pride in customer service, and has experience with parts, whether from agricultural, construction, horticultural, or motor trade backgrounds.

Reporting to the Parts & Retail Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the parts department. You’ll support customers and technicians with parts enquiries, process orders, and ensure an excellent level of service both in person and over the phone.

• Handling customer and workshop parts enquiries
• Processing orders and arranging dispatch
• Providing accurate product information
• Delivering a high standard of customer service at all times
• Supporting the retail counter and showroom when required

• Strong communication skills and a professional, friendly manner
• Experience in parts—agricultural, construction, horticultural, or motor trade
• Confident dealing with customers face-to-face, by phone, and by email
• Good general computer skills
• Strong numeracy and literacy
• High attention to detail, especially when handling payments
• Team player with the ability to work independently
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach
• Smart, presentable appearance
• Comfortable working in a busy, target-driven environment

• Previous retail or showroom experience
• Knowledge of machinery or equipment parts

• Hours:
  
  39 hours per week
  • Monday–Friday & Saturdays on a rota
• Overtime:
  Paid at time and a half after 39 hours (Mon–Fri)
• Contract:
  
  Permanent, full-time, hourly paid
