MRP Controller
Rate: up to £24.55ph, UMB, inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced and motivated MRP Controller to support the day-to‑day management of manufacturing schedules and logistics activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring customer programmes are delivered on time, to cost, and to quality by effectively managing materials planning, production scheduling, and inventory control.
You will work closely with cross‑functional teams across planning, supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing to maintain accurate plans, resolve constraints, and support overall operational performance.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate all planning‑related activities to deliver the Manufacturing Planning Schedule (MPS) on time, to cost, and to quality.
- Plan and procure materials to ensure timely and adequate supply for manufacturing output against the Master Production Schedule.
- Release, manage, and schedule work orders within the MRP system, maintaining accurate delivery forecasts and customer communications.
- Control material inventories in line with inventory targets, minimising excess stock, waste, and cost.
- Maintain MRP system accuracy through regular stock checks and master data upkeep.
- Work closely with the Supply Planner to communicate plan changes and resolve supply chain constraints.
- Identify and escalation risks related to supplied parts through the planning and control team and the Sales & Operations process.
- Collaborate with Goods Receiving, Stores, and Despatch teams to manage inventory levels, resolve queries, and ensure accurate transaction processing.
- Support effective non‑conformance management processes.
- Maintain manufacturing bills of materials and planning master data to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Support key performance indicators (KPIs) including schedule adherence, inventory performance, and on‑time delivery.
- Proven experience in manufacturing planning, supply chain management, or a related role.
- APICS supply chain certification desirable but not essential.
- Experience using SAP is advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and MRP systems.
- Excellent planning, organising, and prioritisation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
