Position Summary


Summary

The successful candidate will provide a full range of HR services to the Stevenage Business Unit Manager and Senior Leadership team. Directly accountable for provision of HR support and services for a site of circa 90 team members.

Responsibilities
  • Directly partner with Business Unit Manager and Senior Leadership Team to enable improved leadership, enhanced HR credibility and to maximise Operations performance.
  • Drive improved employee engagement and increased focus on HPT and PLS.
  • Interface with managers on job openings and resource planning.
  • Review resumes, create candidate pools and manage interview and selection processes.
  • Develop learning and organisational development plans for the Stevenage site.
  • Partner with managers to complete performance management and talent management cycle for all Stevenage team members.
  • Ensure consistent application of practices.
  • Develop and administer local training.
  • Work with managers to identify best utilisation of corporate sponsored training.
  • Address complex and varied questions and concerns by managers and employees.
  • Responsible for challenging employee grievances.
  • Administer the annual merit process for all Operations team members.
  • Address questions on compensation and benefits.
  • Conduct reporting and analytics, as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 plus years of experience in a similar position in Manufacturing environment, background in aerospace is highly desired.
  • Relevant HR qualifications or university degree is required.
  • Experience in delivering projects within a trade unionised environment, including (but not restricted to) restructure programmes, change agendas, post TUPE/acquisition activities.
  • Appropriate case management at all disciplinary stages, up to and including ET’s and all associated legal activities.
  • Experience of developing partnerships with senior stakeholders and HR team across various locations.
  • Extensive experience of managing complex employee relations issues and casework and managing conflict.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills while exercising sensitivity to the audience.
  • Able to work with and maintain high levels of confidentiality, resilience, and calmness under pressure.
  • High level of professionalism, diplomacy, sense of urgency and demonstrated ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively.
  • Self-starter and ability to manage own workload.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-browsers.
