Up to £40,000 (including sleep‑ins) + L5 Funded + Blue Light Card

You’ll be joining a supportive leadership team within a region of children’s homes that values creativity, resilience and child‑centred practice. This is your chance to take on a meaningful role where you’ll help shape the home, support the Manager, and lead your team to deliver high‑quality care for children aged 8‑18. You’ll be encouraged to bring your own strengths, step into additional responsibilities, and work towards your Level 5 qualification, building the confidence and experience needed to progress to Registered Manager roles in future.

About the Organisation & Home

About the Role
  • Support the Home Manager with daily operations and leadership
  • Lead, motivate and supervise the staff team
  • Ensure the delivery of high‑quality therapeutic care
  • Support care planning, safeguarding and risk management
  • Maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations
  • Manage rotas, staffing and contribute to budget oversight
  • Be a positive role model for both staff and young people
  • Promote a nurturing, structured and inclusive home environment
  • Step up in the Manager’s absence, taking full responsibility when required
Requirements
  • 2+ years’ experience in a residential children’s home (Senior or Deputy level)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People (Residential Childcare pathway)
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations & safeguarding
  • Experience with rotas, staffing and basic budget support
  • Resilient, proactive, child‑centred and confident in leading others
  • Full UK Driving Licence
