Technical Author

Our client, a respected partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, is seeking an experienced Technical Author. This role requires a skilled professional to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and engaging documentation. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to create and maintain high-quality materials that support our products and users.

Key Responsibilities:

Create, edit, and maintain a variety of technical documents, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, and online help resources. Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse technical information. Structure and organise content to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy. Utilise documentation tools and content management systems to develop and manage content effectively. Ensure all documentation adheres to company branding and style guidelines.

Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously enhance our documentation processes. What do you need?:
Demonstrated experience as a Technical Author, Technical Writer, or in a similar role. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong grasp of technical concepts with the ability to clearly explain them to non-technical audiences. Proficiency with documentation tools such as Adobe, Confluence, or Microsoft Word. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development processes is advantageous. What happens now?
