We are recruiting for a Clinical Nurse Specialist for ADHD who shares our vision to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients. The ADHD Nurse Specialist will work with the Childrens Community team, providing a specialist service for Children and Young People (CYP) within the ADHD pathway. This includes assessing, planning and implementing care and treatment programs for CYP with ADHD, based on specialist knowledge, training and experience. The role includes working as a non-medical prescriber, engaging CYP, families and carers in non-pharmacological management and medical treatment of ADHD, and offering medical and non-medical interventions for related conditions.

The post requires autonomous practice with highly developed skills in child and family centred care, collaborating with medical, educational, voluntary and other healthcare services. The post may involve clinic, educational or other settings or home visits. A key aspect is leading the continuing development of the ADHD service based on specialist knowledge, research and evidence-based best practice.

  • Lead the ongoing development of the ADHD service using evidence-based practice and research.
  • Delivery of care in clinics, educational settings or patients’ homes as required.
