Overview
An opportunity has arisen within MBDA’s Customer Support & Services (CSS) organisation for a Through Life Engineer to take charge of work packages associated with influencing product design for support and for developing cost‑effective support solutions for our global customers. Working under the Project Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Manager, you will act as a focused member of the project team to progress design-for-support objectives and exploit new and existing technologies to facilitate through-life support.
You will work alongside other functions such as Reliability, Human Factors, Training and Technical Authors.
- Lead the conception and development of through-life support concepts for new and existing products.
- Progress design-for-support objectives throughout the product’s design and development phase.
- Collaborate with reliability, human factors, training and technical writing teams to ensure supportability requirements are met.
- Analyse the application of supportability engineering techniques such as Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis.
- Advise on the exploitation of new technologies to enhance supportability.
- Ensure compliance with ILS standards (e.g., Defence Standard 00‑600, ASD S3000L) and customer environment, structure and processes.
- Sound knowledge of Integrated Logistic Support (ILS).
- Experience as an engineer with a track record in supportability engineering.
- Knowledge of ILS standards such as Def Stan 00‑600 or ASD S3000L and an understanding of the customer environment, structure and processes.
- British Citizenship or a dual UK national with British citizenship (required for security clearance).
Minimum post‑offer BPSS clearance is required.

Up to £50,000, commensurate with experience. - Location:
