Configuration Engineer - Contribute to Critical Defence Programmes Through Expert Data Control

Circa £42,000 Depending on Experience

A well-established engineering organisation is seeking a Senior Configuration Engineer to support the controlled delivery of complex defence systems. This role offers a technical challenge and the opportunity to contribute to a range of high-profile, mission-led engineering programmes.

Working within a close-knit and motivated team, you will provide direct configuration management support across several core product lines. You will be responsible for interpreting technical data and Bills of Materials, managing engineering design changes, and ensuring configuration integrity throughout the product lifecycle.

• Maintain accurate configuration control across complex product assemblies, interpreting technical data and Bo Ms
• Support and manage engineering change processes, including documentation preparation and change control meetings
• Ensure configuration management practices are upheld across internal teams and suppliers, including audit support
• Collaborate with engineering, functional and project stakeholders to support product integrity and data accuracy

• Background in configuration control or technical data management within aerospace, defence or a similar sector
• Experience of managing and implementing engineering design changes across a multi-stakeholder environment
• Skilled in handling technical data and documents including drawings, CAD models and Bo Ms
• Familiarity with configuration management principles and PLM tools such as PTC Windchill would be desirable

You will work in a collaborative environment and have access to professional development, training and potential accreditation in configuration management.
