Senior Quantity Surveyor Highways / Asset Maintenance Permanent | Up to £60,000  Car / Car Allowance  Benefits Cheshire / North West | Hybrid The Opportunity A leading national infrastructure and highways services provider is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major long-term highways asset maintenance contract. This is an urgent requirement and interviews will be held in December.

You will play a pivotal role in closing out claims efficiently and providing expert commercial support across pre- and post-contract phases. This is an excellent chance to join a Gold Investor in People organisation that actively invests in your career development and progression.

Key Responsibilities Lead commercial activities across the contract lifecycle, from pre-tender through project delivery. Prepare accurate and timely commercial reports and advise senior management on key financial metrics. Manage budgets, cost forecasting, risk registers and change control processes. Oversee contract administration, supply chain procurement and subcontract management. Negotiate and finalise claims, compensation events and final accounts. Provide guidance and support to junior Quantity Surveyors and commercial team members.

About You Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in a Quantity Surveying role. Strong background in Highways or Asset Maintenance contracts. Proven track record in closing out claims promptly. Good working knowledge of NEC forms of contract. Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) and ideally working towards professional membership (RICS, CIOB, ICES). Able to start within 1 month and live a commutable distance from the Cheshire office.
