Overview

We are recruiting for a Medical Education Administrator who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients. We have a great opportunity for you to join the Consultants & Specialty Doctors Team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust as a Medical Education Administrator. You will provide administrative support to the GP ST Training Programme Directors covering all aspect of the Scheme.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to GP ST Training Programme Directors covering all aspects of the Scheme.
  • Support the delivery of high-quality medical education through the organisation, co-ordination, and management of educational learning events.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Education Team to ensure effective delivery of departmental and Trust objectives, e.g., answering telephone and email queries regarding medical education issues.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for GP Registrars, Trainers, Educators, Lead Employers, GP Practices, and the Royal College of General Practitioners.
  • Liaise with and escalated to GP TPDs as appropriate and in line with Trust and NHS England School policies.
  • Attend external meetings and training events which occasionally require travel.
  • Manage own workload to meet deadlines while maintaining quality.
  • Manage and maintain Training Programme rotations, including trainee placements both hospital and General Practice placements on the Trainee Information System (TIS) and ePortfolio.
  • Liaise with newly appointed trainees to welcome them to the Scheme and confirm placement and reporting details as well as Trust and Training Programme induction events.
