– The Role

A secondary school in Stevenage is seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their English department from February on a maternity cover basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 experience being desirable but not essential.

You will be expected to plan and deliver high-quality lessons, assess student progress, and contribute positively to the wider life of the department. This is a full-time maternity cover position, offering a competitive day rate of £160 to £230, depending on experience.

English Teacher – The School
