Performing Arts Technician
Start date: ASAP (or negotiable)
Contract: Permanent, term time only + 5 INSET Day
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: H4.6 £ 25,989 FTE (pro‑ratio for term time)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Performing Arts Technician to join our Production Arts team, providing specialist technical support Production Arts, Music and Drama departments
. This is an exciting role for someone passionate about the arts, with opportunities to work closely with staff and students in a creative and vibrant environment.
Superb working conditions – a Performing Arts centre with purpose‑built spaces and high‑quality sound, lighting and staging equipment. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining and operating these systems, ensuring the smooth delivery of lights and sound during assemblies, productions and school events.
Hands‑on involvement – carry out all tasks relating to the provision of sound, lighting and staging for school events, assemblies and productions. You’ll support staff and external speakers in the use of microphones, lighting and staging. Plus help deliver exceptional technical standards for events such as Masses, Presentation Evening, music concerts and theatrical performances.
Student support – work with KS4 and KS5 Production Arts students in the classroom, supporting their day‑to‑day use of sound, lighting and staging equipment. Encouraging them to develop their skills and interest in production arts.
