We are recruiting for a Waiting List Officer who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
You will provide efficient administrative support in all aspects of the Endoscopy department's work as directed by the Service Coordinator. This primarily includes the booking of inpatient and day case waiting lists for a delegated number of consultants and clinical endoscopists in accordance with cancer and DM01 targets and the Trust's access policy.
Other duties include listening and responding to patient enquiries, working under pressure and prioritising your workload independently as well as alongside the team.
You will be responsible for booking waiting lists and appointments and communicate with both patients and consultants regarding booking appointments within the Trust Policy Guidelines. A good telephone manner is essential. This includes accurate data entry, working in a busy reception area, booking of patients from a waiting list and responding to patient enquiries. You should be able to prioritise your own workload, work independently using initiative and deal with frequent interruptions.
Hours:
Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00.
