Maintenance Supervisor

The Jefferson Metropolitan Housing Authority (JMHA) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee building maintenance operations for JMHA housing communities and multifamily properties throughout Jefferson County, Ohio

The Maintenance Supervisor leads maintenance staff and ensures housing units, buildings, and grounds are maintained safely and efficiently. This position manages preventative maintenance, building repairs, work orders, and maintenance staff supervision while ensuring compliance with HUD housing standards and local building codes.

• Supervise and coordinate daily work of maintenance technicians
• Assign and track maintenance work orders
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs
• Coordinate vacancy preparation and unit turnover
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and completed repairs
• Manage repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems
• Schedule emergency and routine maintenance services
• Maintain maintenance equipment, vehicles, tools, and inventory
• Coordinate outside contractors and maintenance projects
• Monitor maintenance costs and assist with budgeting
• Ensure compliance with HUD housing standards and safety regulations
• Maintain maintenance reports and documentation

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3–5 years of building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or construction experience
• Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance
• Valid Driver’s License and insurable under agency insurance
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work with residents, contractors, and staff professionally

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, and use of maintenance tools
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
