GSE Mechanic

Overview

This position is at Washington Dulles International Airport. The role requires the operation of small specialized commercial vehicles and the maintenance of aircraft service equipment.

• Drive and operate specialized commercial vehicles as required.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies.
• Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles and make repairs to diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Provide preventative care to equipment and timely repairs to support aircraft services operations.

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a good driving record.
• English speaking, reading, and writing proficiency.
• Available and flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must pass an FBI background check and obtain a custom seal.
• Prior ramp experience required.
• Able to continually lift, move, and push 70 lbs.
• Must pass pre‑employment drug test.
• Must possess mechanic tools.

• Pay Rate: $30.00
