Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a high-tech data center location;
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, equipment areas, loading and delivery points and the perimeter, noting unusual conditions and/or potential hazards;
Monitor alarms, cameras and/or access control systems; respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel as needed;
Control access by verifying identification and/or authorization for employees, contractors and visitors; direct guests to designated areas in accordance with site requirements;
Complete detailed shift reports, incident documentation and activity logs; communicate observations and/or status updates to site leadership and oncoming personnel
