Job Description

As a Security Officer - Tech Sector Unarmed Patrol in Sterling, VA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech, Media, Telecom, and more. This Part‑Time position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to grow.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.44 / Hour

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures and site‑specific policies, and respond to emergencies.
• Respond to incidents calmly, maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unwanted activity and identify concerns.
• Document observations, incidents, or activities per protocol.
• Collaborate with teammates and site personnel to support a secure environment.
• Assist visitors and employees with inquiries and directions while maintaining a visible deterrent.
• Remain alert to surroundings and report unusual or suspicious activity per guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (proof required).
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation and drug screen will be required.
• Licensing requirements may be required per state/local law.
• Valid driver’s license required only for driving positions.
