Carter Machinery Company – Customer Support Representative

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C., is hiring a Customer Support Representative
. The position is responsible for telephone product sales and support to prospects, and helping grow the parts, service and machine/rental business with assigned accounts. The role also collaborates with other sales team members to develop and deliver solutions to customers.

We seek candidates with a minimum of two years of experience in the heavy equipment industry, preferably with a service background. Demonstrated success in a sales environment is required, and a college degree in a related field is preferred.

Physical requirements:

the role requires standing, walking, talking or hearing regularly; sitting; using hands to finger, handle or feel; reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
