Customer Support Representative

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington D.C., is hiring a Customer Support Representative in Dulles, Virginia. The Customer Support Representative is responsible for telephone product sales and support to prospects and helps grow the parts, service, and machine/rental business with assigned accounts. The role involves collaborating with other sales team members to develop and deliver solutions to customers.

Seeking candidates with:

• Minimum two years of experience in the heavy equipment industry, preferably with a service background
• Demonstrated success in a sales environment
• College degree in a related field (preferred)

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to travel and work hours as required by the job and customer demand

Physical requirements include the ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods, lift and carry items up to 20 pounds, and specific vision abilities such as close and distance vision and focus adjustment. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
