Status: Full Time - Non Exempt
Schedules Available: 6:30am-3pm, 3pm-11:30pm and 10:30pm-7am
Jones Networking is recruiting for Industrial Maintenance Technicians to join a large food manufacturing facility in Sterling, VA. This role actively troubleshoots, diagnoses and performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities on production and facilities support equipment and systems. Position Summary:
- Maintain, repair, disassemble and troubleshoot complex processes, high speed packaging machinery, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities on production, processing and plant equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, process and instrumentation diagrams, flow diagrams, and machinery manuals to diagnose problems, identify components, and verify proper equipment operation.
- Monitor metrics for system performance issues.
- Assist in plant projects, upgrades, and calibrations.
- Provide solutions to issues or opportunities that contribute to the operation in the areas of Quality, Safety and Productivity.
- Complete work orders associated with assigned equipment.
- Install new equipment as necessary.
- Modify and upgrade manufacturing equipment as required.
Summary:
- Minimum two years experience as a mechanic in an industrial plant or manufacturing facility desired.
- Troubleshooting experience and repair knowledge of electrical controls, circuits, and systems.
- Troubleshooting skills and repair techniques of mechanical and pneumatic components and systems.
- Experience operating high pressure steam boilers, HVAC experience and/or knowledge of pumps / motors.
- PLC programming functions and troubleshooting a plus.
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints or other forms of engineering drawings.
- Ability to utilize power & hand tools properly and safely support work activities.
