Status: Full Time - Non Exempt

Schedules Available: 6:30am-3pm, 3pm-11:30pm and 10:30pm-7am

Jones Networking is recruiting for Industrial Maintenance Technicians to join a large food manufacturing facility in Sterling, VA. This role actively troubleshoots, diagnoses and performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities on production and facilities support equipment and systems. • Maintain, repair, disassemble and troubleshoot complex processes, high speed packaging machinery, and other manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities on production, processing and plant equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, process and instrumentation diagrams, flow diagrams, and machinery manuals to diagnose problems, identify components, and verify proper equipment operation.
• Monitor metrics for system performance issues.
• Assist in plant projects, upgrades, and calibrations.
• Provide solutions to issues or opportunities that contribute to the operation in the areas of Quality, Safety and Productivity.
• Complete work orders associated with assigned equipment.
• Install new equipment as necessary.
• Modify and upgrade manufacturing equipment as required.

• Minimum two years experience as a mechanic in an industrial plant or manufacturing facility desired.
• Troubleshooting experience and repair knowledge of electrical controls, circuits, and systems.
• Troubleshooting skills and repair techniques of mechanical and pneumatic components and systems.
• Experience operating high pressure steam boilers, HVAC experience and/or knowledge of pumps / motors.
• PLC programming functions and troubleshooting a plus.
• The ability to read and interpret blueprints or other forms of engineering drawings.
• Ability to utilize power & hand tools properly and safely support work activities.
