As an Assembler
, you will:
- Perform mechanical assembly for flight simulators, building subassemblies and installations.
- Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions.
- Operate hand tools, electrical tools, molding, sanding/cutting of acrylic, measuring equipment, and light equipment.
- Use basic hand tools and drill & drill bits.
- Maintain inventory of product in workstations.
- Perform quality work checks, identify product defects, and record identified defects.
- Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
- Mechanical skills and ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Knowledge of and experience using basic hand tools.
- Ability to use drill & drill bits.
- Climbing ability up to 6 feet (25% of the time).
- Must wear steel-toed boots.
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- Good mechanical skills.
- Attention to detail.
