Operations Manager
The Starbucks Store Manager is the on-site leader responsible for all daily operations, financial performance, staffing, training, and brand compliance for the Starbucks airport café s role oversees a large front-of-house team, drives throughput during peak travel windows, ensures adherence to Starbucks routines, and represents WHSmith to airport authorities, TSA, Starbucks partners, and terminal stakeholders.
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a high-volume operator who thrives in fast-paced, regulated, and customer-centric environments.

Salary: $80, DOE
Schedule: Weekend availability required
Key ResponsibilitiesLead all day-to-day store operations, ensuring consistent execution of Starbucks routines, beverage quality, cleanliness, and Licensee Success System (LSS) standards.
Serve as the primary on-site liaison with airport authorities, TSA, Starbucks representatives, vendors, contractors, and WHSmith leadership, ensuring full regulatory and lease compliance.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of 35–40 partners across multiple shifts, driving accountability, engagement, performance management, and leadership succession.
Own full P&L responsibility, managing labor, inventory, cost controls, shrink, and forecasting in alignment with seasonal and daily airport traffic patterns.
Leverage real‑time operational data and KPIs (sales, productivity, ticket times, throughput, labor allocation) to optimize performance and customer flow.
Deliver an elevated customer experience by upholding Starbucks brand standards, resolving escalations, and modeling service excellence.
Ensure compliance with all safety, food handling, TSA, and airport security requirements through audits, training, documentation, and risk‑management practices.
3+ years of high-volume store management experience in food & beverage, coffeehouse, or QSR environments.
Experience leading teams of 20+ employees; airport staffing experience strongly preferred.
Proven success managing P&L, labor productivity, and operational KPIs.
Strong understanding of regulated or compliance-heavy environments (airport, healthcare, hospitality, or similar).
Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills.
Ability to work early mornings, late evenings, holidays, and weekends as required in an airport environment.
Must be eligible for airport security badging (background check required).
Airport F&B leadership experience (HMSHost, OTG, Paradies, SSP, or similar).
Starbucks experience (licensed or corporate) or strong coffeehouse operations background.
Union management experience is a plus.
Food safety certification (Serv Safe Manager or equivalent).
