GOJET AIRLINES - SUPERVISOR, AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN –
LOCATION:
WASHINGTON-DULLES, VA (IAD)
GoJet Airlines is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Maintenance Supervisor to join our exceptional Maintenance team. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance operations to ensure the safety, efficiency, and compliance of our aircraft fleet. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a commitment to supporting both company goals and team success.
This position requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate GoJet maintenance procedures, and lead with integrity in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
- Remaining current with GoJet Airlines policies/procedures and CAMP and ensure personnel under supervision comply with requirements.
- Continuously updating Maintenance Control of aircraft status in the respective work area.
- Ensuring work area is properly maintained and clean.
- Ensuring maintenance in progress is accomplished in accordance with proper procedures and completed efficiently.
- Promoting safety as number one priority in both aircraft and personnel.
- Reporting all accidents or incidents involving equipment and personnel to the appropriate manager.
- Ensuring proper tools and equipment are available and utilized, and personnel are trained in their use.
- Ensuring calibrated equipment is maintained in the assigned work area in accordance with the Calibrated Tools and Test Equipment Program.
- Ensuring mechanics use appropriate technical data.
- Reporting malfunctions of ground support equipment to Ground Maintenance and advising the appropriate manager or director.
- Locking out and tagging ground equipment that is not functioning properly.
- Recording and handing over incomplete maintenance to the next shift or individual.
- Monitoring work schedules to ensure maintenance personnel do not exceed duty time limitations.
- Ensuring mechanics are in compliance with the OJT program.
- Authorizing and assigning duties to Maintenance Staff.
- Ensuring maintenance personnel comply with Maintenance Log Recording requirements.
- Ensuring designated inspectors on shift are authorized to complete assigned inspections.
- Maintaining potable water servicing equipment per GMM and retaining SWDA-02 forms for five years.
- Inspecting toolboxes of New-Hire personnel for personally owned tools requiring calibration.
- Hold a mechanic certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience (preferred).
- Five (5) years of aircraft maintenance experience.
- Required to live in or relocate to the Dulles, VA IAD area.
- General administrative duties are also part of the role; time management is crucial.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook.
- Strong attendance and performance records in current position.
- High motivation, ability to work independently, and initiative.
- Ability to work efficiently in stressful situations and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend moderately complex technical material and correct errors.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to shifting deadlines and multiple work areas.
- Professional interaction with management and customers.
- Ability to anticipate upcoming needs on recurrent tasks.
- Ability to manage time and priorities effectively.
- Ability to generate and maintain accurate records and action summaries.
